We supply professional kitchen and HORECA equipment across Slovenia and Croatia. Because our products range from small accessories to large refrigeration units and stainless steel furniture, shipping costs cannot be calculated automatically at checkout — they depend on the final packed weight, dimensions, and delivery location.

This page explains exactly how our shipping process works, step by step.

1. How the Shipping Process Works

Place your order
Add products to your cart and complete checkout. You pay only the product total — no shipping charge yet.

Order confirmed
You receive an order confirmation email with your order ID and product summary.

We pack your order
Our team packs your items and measures the final weight and dimensions of the shipment.

Shipping invoice sent
You receive a separate shipping invoice by email with the exact shipping cost for your order.

You pay shipping
Pay the shipping invoice within 3 business days via the link in the email or by bank transfer.

We dispatch
Once shipping is paid, we hand your order to the carrier and send you tracking information.
Important: Goods are dispatched only after the shipping invoice has been paid in full. This ensures accurate shipping costs and protects both parties from unexpected charges.

2. Delivery Countries

We do not offer in-store or warehouse collection. All orders are delivered to the address provided at checkout.

Delivery times are estimates and may be longer for oversized items, remote locations, or during peak periods. You will be notified if your order is subject to a longer lead time.

3. How Shipping Costs Are Calculated

Shipping costs are calculated based on:

  • Weight — the total packed weight of your order
  • Dimensions — the size of the packed boxes or pallets
  • Delivery address — distance and accessibility of the delivery location
  • Number of items — larger orders may require pallet delivery

Professional kitchen equipment is heavy and often requires specialist freight handling. Upright refrigerators, dishwashers, stainless steel counters and similar items are typically delivered on pallets by a freight carrier, not a standard courier.

Please note: Shipping costs are not displayed at checkout. You will receive the exact shipping cost by email after your order has been packed. There are no hidden fees — the shipping invoice will clearly show the carrier, weight, and cost breakdown.

4. Paying the Shipping Invoice

After packing, you will receive a shipping invoice by email. The invoice can be paid by:

  • Credit / debit card — via the secure payment link in the email
  • Bank transfer — using the bank details on the invoice, with the invoice number as reference

Payment must be made within 3 business days of receiving the shipping invoice. If payment is not received within this period, we reserve the right to cancel the order and refund the product payment in full.

5. Receiving Your Order

When your delivery arrives, please inspect it carefully before signing the delivery note. Specifically check:

  • That the packaging is undamaged and intact
  • That the number of packages matches the delivery note
  • That there is no visible damage to the goods

If you notice any damage or discrepancy, note it on the delivery note in the presence of the carrier before signing. Then contact us within 24 hours at tomo@gastro-oprema.si with photos of the damage.

Important: Claims for visible damage that was not recorded at delivery cannot be accepted after the fact. Always inspect your goods before the carrier leaves.

6. Order Tracking

Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive a confirmation email with carrier and tracking information where available. You can also check the status of your order at any time by logging into your account at gastro-oprema.si/my-account or by contacting us directly.

7. Large and Heavy Items

Many of our products — including upright refrigerators, blast chillers, dishwashers, and stainless steel furniture — are large, heavy items that require specialist handling:

  • Delivery is made to the ground floor / kerbside unless otherwise arranged
  • For deliveries to upper floors or specific rooms, please contact us in advance so we can arrange appropriate handling — additional charges may apply
  • Please ensure adequate access for delivery vehicles at your premises
  • Some items are delivered on pallets — a pallet truck or forklift may be required at the delivery location
